We have designed a combined professional indemnity and public/products liability insurance policy exclusively for members of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
The ACA program will:
- Indemnify you for financial loss due to your professional negligence; and
- Provide support and assistance when an allegation of professional wrongdoing is made against you
The policy covers recognised ACA activities including Counselling, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy. Psychology, Teaching and Professional/Clinical Supervision.

The ACA policy policy is designed to cover the specific risk profile of ACA members. Whilst not exhaustive, our policy is designed to cover claims or allegations of:
- Wrongful / negligent treatment or advice
- Incorrect diagnosis
- Breach of Privacy
- Breach of Confidentiality
- Sexual / Physical misconduct (unless guilt is determined)
- Defamation
- Loss of documents
- Teachers liability
- Injury / property damage to clients in the course of running their practice
- Inappropriate behaviour leading to an industry inquiry or investigation
- False or misleading advertising
